Cup and WandUpdated: April 15th, 2015
Created: 15/04/15In the Taro they represent the archetypal male and female, or let's say the illusion that such exists.; and each of us commonly plays at least one of those roles.
The cup came to mind whilst sipping port, well just after scoffing off a bowl of food. That the food needed a bowl is significant, otherwise it could have been a plate, or disk.
In fact the disk solves the problem I have in my realisation of te cup and through that the wand.
I have yet to ponder the sword but have views of the disk.
The cup I noticed that it only existed due to the heightened edge, to keep or contain things. It's not that the cup is a receiver of grace but a holder, a container, a receptacle, wherein lies the idea of not letting go. Ah! how many parents maintain a cup to contain their offspring?
The disk that is the receiver of grace
The wand it the provider of grace
The sword The path of grace
