Created: 25/11/13Prompted by macrobiotics, some months after being vegetarian I came across information that clarified that cows milk was not the best food for my son Tiriel. It was clear that An and I were still content to steal from cows and that rather than go for the 'better' option of using goats milk we decided to give up exploiting animals completely. We didn't consider it a vegan lifestyle choice as neither of us and heard the word, until a week or two later.
The decision to avoid using animal in any form was a development of grace, not a form of compassion or of outstretching to save animals. There was and still is on my part no inclination to be a political vegan and work to save animals from their fate but to ensure I do as little as I can that interferes with their existence.
