Fear

Conciousness is a rather vulnerable entity, especially as it relies on an intelect with a dubious personality as friend and demeaming ego as a mirror.

Although in a simple form ego can establishe itself with a wall to isolate it's aquisiton of the fragile personality, it requires an adept use of intelect to secure it. As for instance it is not so difficult to possess an inanimate object but it requires more than brute force to fence in personality hell bent on freedom and developing self conciousness.

The trick is to leave the ego to wrap itself in protecting the body by providing ample manual labour of an essential nature so the intellect can be free to nurture the individual as it strives to free itself from the dependence the ego so clearly has. In that respect if it were not for the ego's need to survive the intellect would have no simple polarising engine to provoke change.

It is the intellect's notion that polarisation is not based on equal and opposite reactions of I and that which is not I but that I and I although not each other are to be judged as equal in all respects and not opposite.

If the intellect can instill the ego with dualistic equality engine it can become concious of itself in the other and the empathy is the seed of self conciousness.

All that is required once the seed has appeared is to provide a warm bed of sweet soil kept fragile by the constant change of air and water.

The ego is just as happy, if not more so, in protetcing this new yet eternal being. The greatest comfort is that the seed does not need to grow via the consumption of resources as though it may flourish in the space it dwells it has no desire to occupy any space and is happy to dwell alone and within itself.
