The body does not respond to stimuli unless ordered to by the mindful thoughts of the brain. In a young mind this stimulation is quick and overwhelmingly dependent upon the senses. As the mind matures, memory and logic play an ever increasing roll in the mind's decisions, arguably reaching 100% at death for those that have no lingering thoughts of control.
