Good and|or Bad

It's common to use absolute terms although not proper. Only God can be good as it is a moral definition. Homo sapiens, no matter how intelligent, can reason if some course of action is likely to be to their advantage and therefore better than the alternatives. But this an ethical question for the person hoping to gain.

Empathy and Sympathy are akin to Morality and Ethics. It is understandable that through certain actions some will profit whilst others loose choice and freedom. This applies to all creatures and forms. The power of mankind over less able animals is evident as is the power of the sun over all biology on Earth.

Whereas a person may make a choice, and may have sympathy for others, it does not follow that what may benefit another is good.

Empathy for others is not confined to animals and plants, not does it require action that is sympathetic to a particular entity but rather the restraint of action and the immersion in the being of the other. There can be no solution as there is no problem just a knowledge of being.
