Let's make some basic statements
1. Each of us wants comfort, some may want more that that, like pleasure and . . . .
2. Comfort in the short terms means being warn and safe from abuse
3. Clean air to breath and fresh water to drink.

But given the fear of the future a storage of comforts is sought
1. Somewhere on the planet that is not too hot or too cold.
2. Shelter from exteems of weather.
3. Easy access to fresh water.
4. Availability of food.

And as no one can achieve this alone
1. A group of people that share the ability to acquire and store and protect the resources.

Originally this would have been parents and immediate family but as the population grew and new resources had to be discovered families divided and nations have been built and families are at war or at leats in violent conflict. Given the use of global resources, like water and air the notion of a global single family becomes attractive where each care for the other, but we had to contend with violence betwixt even family members so materially this is not a viable option for the individual. The individual will try to find a gathering of like minded people to protect their immediate future, but not the long term, and let's not even approach the immortal desire of an ever developing consciousness.

So what is IT you want?
