Saturday 16th Alice's birthday too. Tuai and Ilishio brought the walnut tree and it's in situ surrounded by fencing to keep the deer off. Will be felling trees to the south and consolidating steps tomorrow. Then on other surrounding trees and path development.
Tuesday 19th January
Hoping to see a flourishing tree but it looks like it's dying. Will post pictures. It may be that as the roots are young and sensitive, and body, only a couple of feet below the roots, is decaying rapidly; and what with the cardboard coffin, maybe toxic to the roots. If it doesn't recover I will wait a couple of years and plant another, maybe? Oops! Tuesday 11th July See comments here

- Posts starting with a date are those days I'm actually at dad's. Any bold text following such a date is a relatively serious issue to be resolved.
- Posts that begin with a bold text are important issues being resolved, followed by the date the matter was first logged.
- Generally current important issues will be highlighed, in bold, and downgraded when largely resolved
